School Board
As we look ahead to 2024, we are excited to announce the commencement of school board nominations. This is a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and committed to the growth and well-being of our school community to step forward and contribute their skills and insights.
The school board plays a crucial role in shaping the direction of our school, and we encourage all community members to consider nominating themselves or recommending others who possess the dedication and vision to make a positive impact. Please contact the office if you would like to self-nominate for a position on our board in 2024!
Goodbye Mrs Dunn
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Kirsten on officially winning her position at Creaney ESC. I want to express my deepest gratitude for Kirsten’s unwavering dedication and guidance as Deputy Principal. Her commitment to excellence has left an indelible mark on both the school and its students. Kirsten, thank you for your tireless efforts in fostering a positive learning environment and for being a source of inspiration to us all.

News from Science Technology Engineering Art Math (STEAM)
In STEAM this semester we have covered Physical Science including how objects move, exploring light and investigating electricity. We have integrated this with both Art and Design and Technology to allow students to access learning opportunities through hands-on experiences. A significant part of our learning program is accessing incursions such as Scitech and Remida who came to facilitate deeper understanding through experiments, investigations and applying design principles using recycled materials. For year 4/5/6 students an opportunity to showcase their technological skillset and design ideas, as well as their ability to work as a team was evident in their great success competing in the Interschool Lego League. It has been wonderful to see students engaging in creating artworks, collaborating with projects, and displaying their knowledge.
Lego League
Students in Room F24 participated in Lego League 2023 demonstrating innovative ideas, sportsmanship, team work and great fun!
All Abilities Art
Westminster Education Support Centre has again this year participated in a range of ‘All Abilities Art’ activities run by Ability Solutions. Students in Rooms 24 and 25 created different types of artworks over a number of sessions, which included such activities as remote robot drawing, spinning art, squeegee art and auto rotating art.
The modified and innovative equipment was lots of fun and engaged students to express themselves artistically and independently.
News from the P&C
Dear Parents/Carers,
We here at the P&C (Parents and Citizens) volunteer our time to help fundraise money for the school and for the future of our children here at Westminster Primary School and Westminster Education Support Centre.
We are currently in search for a treasurer on the P&C board, without a treasurer we can not continue helping the school, we also would love to hear from you at our next P&C meeting in regards to what you think can help the school, however if you are not a member, your vote does not count to go ahead with anything, what you voice will only be taken into consideration.
Please email us at westminsterpandc@gmail.com if you would like more information about our wonderful committee or come along and see what goes on in our meetings. All experiences can be used on your resume.
Kind regards
Paris Kershaw Ladu
